WHO WE ARE
LayUp Academy (International Basketball Academy) is an international sports project dedicated to children and young people, with the goal of developing basketball talent in both boys and girls. Special emphasis is placed on the holistic development of each child’s physical, mental, and personal potential.

Every training session, activity, and decision is focused on the holistic development of the child.
In today’s world, it is not enough to teach children how to play a sport. Our mission is to help young people develop strong character, build meaningful values, and prepare for life’s challenges far beyond the basketball court.
Our motto reflects this philosophy:

We see basketball as an educational tool that helps children prepare for every challenge they may face throughout their lives — athletic, academic, personal, and professional.
The unique methodology of LayUp Academy is the result of long-term research into modern trends in sports education, youth development, and basketball training.
It is based on proven practices and the experience of experts from different countries.
For each age group, we have clearly defined objectives, training content, and development milestones that respect the individual needs and natural development of every child.
During the initial school year, starting in September 2026, the project is designed for children in Grades 1–4 and is based on a gradual transition from general athletic development to the systematic development of basketball skills.
Grades 1-2 - basic movement development, motor skills, coordination, movement intelligence, joint training sessions for boys and girls
Grades 3-4 - advanced athletic development, gradual specialization in basketball skills, and mini-basketball
OUR VALUES
The project is built on proven educational and sporting values. It represents a modern and systematic approach to youth sports that contributes to the long-term physical, social, and personal development of children.
PROJECT LOCATION
The project is designed for European countries, with its headquarters located in Spain.
Phase 1: The first phase of implementation focuses on Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Italy.
Phase 2: The project will then expand to Austria, Portugal, Hungary, and Poland.
Future Expansion – Additional countries will be incorporated as the project continues to grow.
WHAT WE OFFER
The training process is led by experienced and qualified basketball coaches in cooperation with qualified physical education teachers specializing in comprehensive athletic and sports development.
The unique methodology of LayUp Academy is the result of years of research into modern approaches to sports education, youth development, and basketball training.
It draws on proven practices and the expertise of professionals from different countries.
For each age group, we have clearly defined objectives, training priorities, and development milestones that respect the individual needs and natural growth of every child.
Sports development is closely integrated with the educational process at the partner school, supported through regular communication with teachers and a strong emphasis on foreign languages, particularly English and Spanish.
In addition, LayUp Academy offers programs designed to help children improve their language skills, especially in English and Spanish. These include training sessions conducted in a foreign language, sports-focused language courses, language immersion programs abroad, and international exchange opportunities.
The health and well-being of young athletes are at the heart of everything we do. Throughout their development, LayUp Academy players are supported by doctors, physiotherapists, and other specialists who help promote healthy physical growth, prevent injuries, support proper recovery, and maintain overall well-being.
We also encourage children to take responsibility for their own health by developing healthy habits and adopting a balanced lifestyle that will benefit them both in sport and in everyday life.
Healthy habits are the foundation of long-term success in both sport and life. We help young athletes understand the importance of balanced nutrition, proper recovery, quality sleep, and an active lifestyle.
Through expert guidance, we support children in developing habits that will benefit them throughout their sporting careers and remain valuable throughout their adult lives.
